Nightwing - Ra’s Al Ghul 139

As I further my attempt to get more conversant and familiar with the DC Universe, I’ve been following the Resurrection of Ra’s Al Ghul through the Bat-family line of comics. Right now, it’s an interesting story, with RAG not being able to keep a body stable, but working on getting Damian (his grandson and the son of daughter Talia and Bruce Wayne) to give his body up for ol’ gramps.

As I’ve stated previously, I’ve never been up to speed on the DC entire; when I was younger it was dividing the money, and before becoming a legitimate reviewer of the graphical story art form I was sampling here and there. Now, however — despite DC’s refusal to send review copies — I’ve been spending some cash on the DC lines that seem promising.  This one, the Resurrection storyline, has been a surprising addition to my “gee, this is good” pile.

The characters of Robin and Nightwing used to annoy me: see, I wasn’t used to DC’s legacy concept (which Marvel doesn’t embrace) and once I got used to a character I liked, I didn’t want change. Now, I have become a bit more used to it, and have grown to enjoy the mutability of DC heroes.

Now, the story: Nightwing and Robin are enjoyable to read, and this character named I Ching has become one of my favorites (who can resist a blind monk who kicks major ass?) — this really shouldn’t surprise me, as Fabian Nicieza  is one hell of a writer, who I first sampled when he was doing a wonderful Deadpool run — and I think I have added Nightwing to my pull list based on this issue.
